Bugs:

(unsure if intentional) wall jumps can be abused to jump over walls by simultaneously holding the jump and movement keys. (If intentional, this makes the platforms unnecessary).

Strengths:

Wall-jump mechanic makes the game more interesting, the colour-scheme used contrasts a lot and makes the game pop-out

Weaknesses:

There isn't a clear goal, you can progress through the level but there isn't much you can do after that (maybe give the character a win condition e.g. collecting something?), the shading details in the platforms are slightly chunky in that you can visually see each layer of shade rather than it being a continuous gradient (maybe you could blur the edges of each layer to make each colour gradually phase into the next). No sound. Other than obstacles there isn't much for the player to overcome

Changes or improvements:

Add a win-condition for the player, possibly add enemies to further increase the challenge for the player.

Bugs:

Spamming the dash button causes the camera to lag behind, causing the character to go off screen.

Strengths:

Great gameplay mechanics such as dashing and wall jumping which has the potential to lead into some very creative level design.

Weakness:

Obstacles such as enemies are needed.

Bugs

Wall-jumping before touching ground after vertical dash maintains downward momentum.

Strengths

There are hidden mechanics to discover like wall jumping. The game hints at this by placing them in a walled room with no other way out.

Weaknesses

There is no goal yet.

Changes or improvements

Add an obstacle that requires the vertical dash.

cool use of mechanics like the dash, nice textures. But its all a bit too simplistic for now. I would add more animation and more texture and colour to make it more appealing to the eyes.

thankyou, I appreciate the kind comment. animation is planned for the character and some more gameplay mechanics. though what would you recommend wise for they colours from my colour palate that could make it more appealing to the eyes?
